Vegan Veggie Cretons

  • 1 small onion, finely chopped
  • � c. TVP
  • 1 clove garlic, crushed
  • 1 � c. soymilk
  • 5 cloves
  • � tsp cinnamon
  • 2 T nutritional yeast
  • 1 T canola oil
  • 2 T Tahini
  • 2 T whole wheat flour

Directions:

In a large frying pan, combine the onion, TVP, garlic, soymilk, cloves, and cinnamon. Bring mixture to a boil, reduce heat to medium-low. Stir in the nutritional yeast and simmer for about 15 minutes or until the TVP and onions are tender. Add the oil, tahini, and flour. Increase the stove heat and bring the mixture to a boil. Reduce the heat again and simmer for another 10 to 15 minutes with stirring (this get rid of the flour taste). Store covered in the refrigerator. Variations: Change the spices like rosemary and orange, garlic and chives, sundried tomato��
